Mediators Beyond Borders - Partnering for Peace & Reconciliation is in the process of establishing the first Student Chapters.  They are slated for commencement of activities in September of 2007.  For the academic year 2007 - 2008, MBB Chapters are being limited to university educational programs at the graduate level.  If your institution is interested in establishing a MBB chapter, please let us know by completing the Contact Us form. The focus of Student Chapters is on educational activities in the local community.  This includes raising public awareness in the university and surrounding community of peace building processes and initiatives.  Each chapter must abide by the rules and regulations of the university for student groups.  Membership must be open to all full and part time students enrolled in the graduate programs.  MBB also has Charter documents detailing responsibilities and parameters for student chapters.  Chapters may also operate as a consortium of several universities in one geographic area. In addition to faculty advisors, MBB Mediator Members assist the student chapters in providing educational and mentoring activities. Student chapters are typically assigned a specific country to research and create relationships with sister educational institutions and NGOs operating in-country.  There may be opportunities for internships and other field experiences.
Student Chapters:
Over 50 law and graduate students formed the first MBB student chapter in the spring of 2007. Additional information and examples of founding documentation can be found in the separate section of Student Chapters on the left.
